“Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson has been chosen for our
2018 Marion Community Reads book.
This is an unforgettable true story about the redeeming potential of mercy. Stevenson’s first case was for Walter McMillian, a young man sentenced to die for a notorious murder he didn’t commit. The case drew Stevenson into a tangle of conspiracy and political plots which transformed his understanding of mercy and justice.
Copies are available at the library or you may be added to a reserve list. Everyone is encouraged to read this book by Thursday, February 15 in order to participate in the book discussion held at 7 p.m. at the library.
