The library will be closed for the following Holidays:
Wednesday, November 11 for Veteran’s Day
Thursday, November 26 & Wednesday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving Holiday
After much consideration, for the safety of everyone, the Marion City Library Board has reluctantly decided to cancel the 2020 Christmas Home Tours… Hopefully, next year we will be able to resume our popular fundraiser.
We are open for business! However, there will be some new rules in place…
To keep the staff and our patrons as safe as possible, we will be asking that everyone abide by these following precautions:
Please wear a mask. City commissioners are requiring it.
On the front desk will be hand-sanitizer for you to use upon entering the library.
Limit of 10 patrons at one time!!!
Limit your browsing time to approximately 15 minutes.
Please use the outside drop box to return all items checked out. Returned items will be quarantined for four days before being placed back into circulation.
Computer use will be limited to 2 people with a 15 minute time limit.
There will be no children’s computers available at this time.
There will be no toys in the children’s area.
Hours will be 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with no evening hours or Saturday hours. This may be temporary.
We will also continue offering curbside service for those wanting it.
We appreciate your patience and understanding of the above rules.
**Until further notice our book club meetings will be postponed.
Come join this lively group the last Wednesday of every month from 4-5 pm. Discuss what you’ve been reading or sit back and listen to what they’ve been reading!
If you would like to receive emails from the library containing information about upcoming library events, new books, movies, etc., please supply the staff with your email address. Your email address will not be shared with anyone else.
